New Look....

I watched the Iceland video myself ... (Thank you Adambot and whatthewhat for assisting us non geniuses in seeing internet vids... ) The dress is the one I was originally s'posed to walk the red carpet in at the P-boy mansion , but it got shelved at the last minute ...(didn't feel right). It is super hot , and super slit up the side . I wanted glamorous poufy hair and moviestar makeup for Ladylike and the whole awards show vibe and... well .... I looked like someones slutty mom . Don't get me wrong , I love sluts AND moms .... slutty moms are a toofer bonus.... but I think I'm gonna not do that look again . The show was great , I looked good , but it was weird to see myself rockin' out all hard and stuff looking like I had just come from a key party where I seduced the neighbors son in lieu of paying him for his paper route .... where are my sweats ? posted by Storm at 03:01 on 01/25/07

With love from Iceland...

Well .... even though I was at deaths door when I was here last , I knew I loved this place . Now I'm back , healthy, happy , and let me tell you ... now I'm MADLY IN LOVE ! Quick back story : Magni called me recently , all excited because "Ladylike" had been solidly at #1 for three weeks . Next thing I know ... he's talking about me flying out for an awards show . Then , Sunday at midnight , I'm half asleep when I get my itinerary for Monday morning: Leave at 9AM from Los Angeles to arrive in Rekyavick Tuesday morning at 6AM . OK .. here I am 24 hours post show . I've had a glass of wine and a candy bar and I'm stoked to be alive . Magni won best male singer , and the big concert we all flew out for his birthday last month won concert of the year !! (Yay Mags!!) I was the super secret special guest of the night and performed "Ladylike" with James and Magni's band , Amotisol, whom I've never played with , but they were amazing .What a great time ! Today , my new friend Oleg took me horseback riding and exploring the gorgeous highlands outside of Rekyavick . Now , Icelandic horses are much smaller than the usual beast I'm used to riding , but those suckers can SCOOT !They love to go fast too... so fun. We saw geysers , falls , glaciers.... My God what a gorgeous country . I can't wait to come back with my Balls! (Jimmy Jamms wasn't feeling so well so he opted to chill at the hotel .) Magni , as I write this , must me landing in the states somewhere to catch up with Lukas , Dilana , Toby the Panic Channel and the RSSN guys to jump on their tour of the US . Break a leg Magni . Whattup kiddies?

Some folks are clamouring about the Danny Bonnaducci bit in my previous post , some are defending him , some are condemning......I say , as in the raging American Idol controversy ( ..the judges are too cruel vs. by now the whole world knows the drill with those fucks and anyone can expect to be destroyed in the audition process .) This is all subjective .... we're all correct . The loving people ( who are WAY nicer than me !) have no need to apologize for sticking up for the guy , nor do the folks who collectively wish he would go to rehab under a big rock somewhere . I am a normally overly empathetic human with WAY too much patience with psychic vampires and drama whores (...just ask Davey .... ) . But the non stop pursuit of fame and gain kinda puts the kibosh on my heart strings . Being an addict myself , AND a public personality , I'm not against sharing my experiences . But when one exploits it , wears it as a badge of damage , and uses it to showboat oneself ... puts me right off . It's manipulative and lame . I don't think D.B. is a bad guy at all ... I'm sure he's a kind and loving soul , and all he's known is Hollywood and drugs and drama ... what he's doing is completely normal to him . He probably considers himself an artist ... who knows ? Just this whole culture of train wreck TV and the celebration of EW that has infected pop culture with most reality shows and celebrity rags makes my guts turn . OK....the Mansion.

As soon as I arrived I got on the red carpet , took some photos , talked to some reporters ...posed , pouted , the usual . I was on the carpet with Danny Bonnaducci . I heard his grizzled , camel wide voice bellowing next to me and thought to myself.." what a desperately sad sounding man ...I can't wait to NOT be hearing his voice anymore ." Then we were done and I went inside . THE PLAYBOY MANSION . I imagine the Mansion must be gorgeous .... however I never saw the inside . The party was a tented outdoor affair ...kinda cool ... kinda . There were a smattering of semi-nude girls wearing painted on shirts ... not playboy models ... but they were wiggling their hired hineys around the party REALLY hoping to be one day . Some nice boobies .... some fairly cute girls.... but mostly , just a handfull skinny young things wobbling around on clear heels all wasted in the drafty plastic tent , looking for a reason to love themselves . T'was a bit disturbing . Hef and the girls next door were there .. Hef , at 80 , looks awesome . No sign of weird , head altering , plastic surgery that is so rampant in Hollywood these days . (Um , are you listening Kenny Rogers?) He just looks like a happy well laid older gentleman . The girls look as they do on the show , all cute , none crazy stunningly fake looking . They all breezed in , did their thing , and were gone ... no one saw them leave... but I saw them all wanting to . There was music...spun by a bikini clad DJ , but what was booming from the sound system mostly were the voices of Adam Corolla and his people (one of whom was Danny Bonnaducci... ouch ) I love Adam Corolla ... I think he's a riot , but Bonnaducci , with his dulcet tones , hogged up alot of air time .... kind of hard to understand what he was saying ... but it all sounded like " Blah blah blah somebody please love me , I wish I was wasted ...." and something about wanting to put the beat down on Barbara Walters AND Rosie O'Donnell for Donald Trump (plus one million dollars). It was hard to listen to but WAY worse to see . He strains so hard to speak ...Bonnaducci bulges like a veiny , leathery penis with desperate piggy little eyes . Scary . Basically , the party was a live radio broadcast "From The Playboy Mansion" as well as a kickoff for Donald Trumps new season for The Apprentice . Donald got up and struck up his favorite topic , besides himself ...Rosie O'Donnell . I went into the Grotto to hide at that point ( very cool btw...though I was a little scared to sit on anything for fear of getting the clap , or impregnated by the spilt seeds of Bill Maher or someone from the Chilli Peppers...) I came out to hear The Donald wrapping up his shpiel on why he = good , Rosie=Bad , when he said he had the #1 show in America . Who knew Donald Trump was on American Idol ?! My bad . All in all , methinks it wasn't really a Playboy party per se ... there were alot of commoners in the mix . A lot of folks who won tickets to the party by calling into various radio stations for various contests . I met a bunch of these folks ... they were super cool and excited to be there , made it a friendly and less trendy poseur-fest . However , I think that's why we were sequestered to the grounds and allowed inside only in controlled tour groups . One cool thing about being stuck outside was ... I got to visit with their coolio zoo ... they have a lemur named Yoda ... a ton of bunnies (duh) amazing birds and cute little spider monkeys . Snowballs

Wow ... it got frikken COLD in California while I've been here! So cold , in fact, that I got a call from a penguin... which penguin? Why , my most fovoritest penguin of all . Magni!!!! He told me that "Ladylike" has been number one on the hottest pop station in Rekyavick for the last 4 weeks !! Thank you Iceland! I guess that means we're going to have to come back sooner than I thought .... I wonder if it's much colder there than L.A. at present...? I mean ... it's cold... everyone is terrified , nearly unable to get out to the Coffee Bean for blendeds . It is mass hysteria ...what is it , like , 50 degrees outside ? Arma-freakin'-geddon . Anyways ....I've been settling back into being in LA . Unpacking , catching up , scheduling lunches ( I've told you about those..."lunches" , right? ) . On top of all of that , I am REALLY missing Davey . I get ripped up sometimes about having to go away from my family . Don't get me wrong , I love my job .. I love that I get to travel everywhere and we are so lucky to get to work together most of the time ... but MAN! It hurts when I have to go away . I'm such a girl sometimes. Speaking of girls... I'm going shopping with the AWESOME Art Conn (RSSN super stylist) so he can keep me from wearing sweats and a skicap to the Playboy Mansion . I adore Art , not just for his taste ( that more than makes up for my LACK of taste...) but he's a blast to hang with . Tomorrow , I'm going to check out the studio the HB and I may be tracking in . We're talking about laying down 3 or 4 songs ... almost settled on which 3 or 4 . ( I know which ones everyone wants....you don't have to remind me.. !) That's it for now ... Welcome Kiddies....

...to Storm's friggin' BLOG! Yay! I can rant, vent and carry on and on to my little heart's content. I am currently in Northern CA taking a breather before I head to LA for about a month. So, what am I doing? hmmm...good question. 2006 was such a crazy year. I'm working on making '07 even more nuts! Recording, collaborating, touring...I'm hip to whatever. The primary plan is to go into the studio with the amazing Houseband in L.A. and record some of my original tunes. You guys seem to want - more than anything - some of my more rockin' songs out and up, so that's plan A. We oughtta have some new stuff for your listening pleasure in downloadable form as soon as mid February. I'm not really doing an album, per se. You see, one of the coolest things about these modern times (no, not Treos and two headed baby cows) is the freedom that the internet affords artists and their fans. I do not need to record twelve tracks, mix and master them, get the artwork and whatnots in place, manufacture and assemble everything...THEN advertise, promote and sell the thing as a whole in brick and mortar record stores. What I'm shooting for is 3 or 4 songs at a time, posted on this site, ITunes, or wherever. That's the plan so far, my friends. Oh yeah...as I write this, "Ladylike" is the number one song in rotation on the biggest top 40 station in Iceland. I guess that means we're going back to Reykjavik! God bless Magni! Oh, one more thing...I'm headed to the Playboy mansion this week for one of Hef's infamous parties. I will for sure fill you in on what goes down that night.
